As a Licensed Dispensing Optician since 1982, Scott is passionate about eyewear and customer service. Scott had a vision of opening his own optical establishment, where customer service and quality were the number one priority. That dream came to fruition in May of 1993 when Scott opened EyesWest Optical in what was then the small hamlet of Surprise. For decades, Scott and the staff have devoted themselves to the company’s slogan: “The quality you want…the service you deserve”.

His positive energy and diligence are a major factor why EyesWest Optical continues to be the choice destination for complete eyewear needs.

Scott hails from New York and is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Scott and his family moved to the Valley of the Sun from Ohio in 1983. Scott had served the State of Arizona as a member of the Board of Dispensing Opticians for 5 years. 

Dr. Sarah, as she is fondly known to her patients, has been practicing optometry for over 30 years. She grew up on a small farm in Pennsylvania with 9 brothers and sisters. After 4 years at Penn State University, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 5 years before pursuing her OD degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. While there, Dr. Sarah also obtained a Masters in Vision Rehabilitation followed by a residency in Geriatrics and Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Specialists. Dr. Sarah initially practiced in Baltimore, MD for ten years in a private ophthalmology practice as well as at Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. She enjoys helping people which continues to be her motivation. She also is obsessed with keeping up to date so you will find the latest technology available. In her free time, she keeps up with her adult twins (he’s a digital artist and she is a voting rights attorney) and their younger sister (an accountant for Netflix). She also has two cute little dogs. Sarah loves to hike, read, and spend time with friends. Come see her!

As a Licensed Dispensing Optician, Kathleen comes to EyesWest Optical with exceptional experience. Her enthusiasm for her chosen field is evident. The minute a customer walks in, she considers the prescription, personality, and lifestyle to best find perfect frames. Kathleen is an Arizona native. She has two daughters who live here as well, and four grandchildren. She is actively involved in many communitiy and volunteer projects.
